CPCS Plant and Vehicle Marshaller A73

This three-day course is for anyone responsible for the movement of plant and vehicles on construction sites. You will learn how to prepare for vehicle and plant movement along with guidance, communication, hazards, ground conditions, work area layout and positioning.

Course content

The course includes:

  • Understand the role of a marshaller and site responsibilities

  • Recognise hazards and manage risks for vehicles and pedestrians

  • Use standard hand signals and communicate safely with operators

  • Direct vehicles and plant safely on site, including loading/unloading areas

  • Follow procedures and best practice for site traffic management.

Teaching and assessment

  • Two days of classroom-based teaching and practical exercises

  • One day of assessment by CPCS technical tests.

What you get

  • CPCS Trained Operator Card (red card). We will apply for this on your behalf

  • CITB National Construction College E-Certificate available on request.

Entry requirements

  1. CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test passed within last two years or CPCS Plant Operative Health, Safety and Environment Test pass.

  2. Good spoken and written English.

  3. Valid form of ID. See accepted forms of ID.
