Supervisory and Management Qualifications (NVQ Level 3 to 7)

Got years of construction experience but no qualification? Get your NVQ in 9-12 months with one-to-one assessments at work. No need to take time off.

How it works

Step one: Initial questionnaire

Before the assessment, learners will need to complete an initial assessment questionnaire. This will help us:

Confirm you have the experience necessary for the qualification
Decide the ideal qualification and assessment route for your needs.

Step two: Pre-assessment

We’ll contact you to discuss your questionnaire responses and confirm the most suitable qualification.

You’ll then be fully briefed on the assessment process.

Step three: Payment

Payment is required in full to begin the assessment process. Check below to see prices for available trade qualifications.

Once we’ve received your payment, we’ll register you for the qualification and allocate you an assessor. The assessor will then start the assessment process.

Step four: Assessment

You will be assessed at your place of work over multiple visits. The total number of visits depends on the trade qualification chosen, but you can expect to achieve your qualification within 9-12 months from your first visit.

First assessment visit

Your assessor will guide you through:

A full NVQ induction
An initial assessment plan, where you will agree optional units and any specific assessment requirements
The start of your assessment activity.

Subsequent visits

You will be assessed in your place of work for four to six hours on each visit.
The assessor will work through the units and ask you to demonstrate how you comply with the National Occupational Standards.
You will show the assessor the evidence where it naturally occurs in the workplace and will then discuss its use to demonstrate involvement, knowledge and understanding.
The assessor will record the evidence they have seen and make summary notes of discussion.
You will agree the next assessment visit with your assessor.

Please note you will not be required to compile a ‘portfolio’ of evidence. Recording this information is the responsibility of your assessor.
