What is the Training Provider Network?

CITB’s purpose is to support the construction industry to have a skilled, competent and inclusive workforce, now and in the future. The Training Provider Network (TPN) enables us to work together to make training more accessible and improve quality.

A collaboration between CITB and training providers across Great Britain, TPN brings together approved, quality-assured providers from England, Scotland and Wales creating a single, trusted network of members, shaped by a leadership group. The network makes it easier for construction industry employers to confidently access the quality training they want, where and when they need it.

Based on shared insight the network will continue to evolve, addressing the challenges and highlighting opportunities within construction training delivery. It will support business sustainability and growth for providers, with all CITB supported training ultimately delivered through TPN members.

What are the benefits?

Already an ATO, SSP or ITC?

Existing Approved Training Organisations (ATOs) Site Safety Plus providers (SSPs) and Internet Test Centres (ITCs) are being invited to webinars to learn more about the Training Provider Network, what it is, the benefits of membership and how to become a member.

Please note:  It is no longer possible to apply to become an Approved Training Organisation (ATO), however as a TPN member you can apply to deliver short duration training, become a Site Safety Plus provider or Internet Test Centre.

To offer other products or services you will need to apply.

Who can become a member?

Training Provider Network membership is awarded to training providers that deliver training to the construction industry in Great Britain and who meet the TPN approval criteria.

A TPN member could be a commercial training provider, a construction employer's in-house training department, or an educational establishment.
